Great post. While I don't struggle much with material collection, my digital life contains a huge, dusty archive of "just in case" content. Actually, several disparate and often unorganized archives. I've been trying to transfer the compulsion from collection to curation.

I really enjoyed your post and this particular aspect cannot be overstated. This is the New Year's day resolution problem. To give something up for the sake of being "better" has no value until you can see clearly how it effects you. It is not about suffering but understanding yourself better.
